Wisconsin Wing Summer Encampment

Wisconsin Wing Summer Encampment

The defining cadet experience!

Day 2: Success is not Final; Failure is not Fatal …

“Success is not final; Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston S. Churchill

Day 0 can be a stressful experience for Cadets that don’t know what to expect from Encampment. They wake up on day one, tired, and still slightly unsure. Once we get to day two they have a better idea of what will happen. It’s still a lot of work, but now we get to sprinkle in some exciting opportunities to give them a wide variety of experiences. Cadets were able to check out a pair of F-16s from the 115th Fighter Squadron in Madison, talk with the crew of an E2 Skyhawk, visit with the fire safety crew from Volk Field Air National Guard Base, and learn the basics of cybersecurity. Now that is a busy Monday!

Congratulations to:
Honor Cadet: Cadet Airman Wirth
Honor Flight: Delta

WCA Honor Cadet: C/Sarah Martens
CDC Honor Cadet: C/Piper Campbell
