Wisconsin Basic School

This is the program that all first-time encampment attendees must attend. During this week-long experience you will learn the basics of being a CAP Cadet, become a member of a team, live CAP’s Core Values, and experience Air Force life. Required for all first-time encampment attendees

Wisconsin Cadet Academy

This second-year program is Wisconsin Wing’s premier leadership development school. During this week-long school cadets will be challenged to be leaders, learn servant leadership principles, and be given the opportunity to test their leadership skills. This school is designed to challenge and form future leaders. Recommended for: Cadet Master Sergeant through Cadet Lieutenant Colonel.

Minimum qualifications to attend the Wisconsin Cadet Academy:

  • You must have graduated from a first-year encampment
  • Be at least 14 years of age
  • Be a Cadet Technical Sergeant or higher (note: must be a C/MSgt or higher to receive RCLS credit)
  • Have your unit commander’s approval

Please contact Lt Col Josh Risler with questions.

Note: For the 2024 Wisconsin Wing Encampment, there will not be a Cadet Development Course. This is due to a need to ensure sufficient qualified adult leadership for WBS and WCA.
