  • WBS Training Officer / Assistant Training Officer: A Training Officer is a senior member assigned to each flight.
    • Safety, health and well-being of the cadets
    • Training, guidance and assistance to the flight staff
    • Ensuring that the encampment training program is progressing in a satisfactory manner
    • Position requires significant walking / standing each day
    • Examples of Tasks:
      • Accompany the flight to all training activities or ensure that adequate Tactical Officer coverage is maintained at all times
      • Perform health/blister checks
      • Serve as the first line of counseling of cadets in the flight
  • WBS Senior Training Officer: Similar duties as a Training Officer, but also includes the supervision of one or more flight-level Training Officers.
  • WCA Training Officer: Similar to a WBS Training Officer, but assigned to the Wisconsin Cadet Academy and reports to the WCA Director. Also responsible for teaching classes and instructing drill.
  • WCA Deputy Director: Assists the WCA Director with preparing the curriculum and implementing instruction. Requires pre-encampment work.
  • CDC Training Officer: Similar to a WBS Training Officer, but assigned to the Cadet Development Course and reports to the CDC Director. Also responsible for teaching classes and instructing drill.
  • CDC Deputy Director: Assists the CDC Director with preparing the curriculum and implementing instruction. Requires pre-encampment work.
  • Administration Officer:
    • In-processing of all personnel
    • Printing of awards, certification
    • Publish schedules, rosters, and reports
    • Mentor the Cadet Administrative Officer
  • Logistics / Supply / Transportation Officer
    • Coordinate daily transportation needs and work to ensure adequate transportation assets will be at encampment.
    • Procure and distribute supplies
    • Manage, track, and log all vehicles
    • Account for CAP equipment and supplies
    • Mentor the Cadet Logistics Officer/NCOS
    • Ensure daily vehicle inspections are completed each day
  • Public Affairs Officer
    • Produce a daily encampment newsletter
    • Work with cadet PA staff to collect photos each day and review prior to publication
    • Prepare press releases
    • Review and update Facebook posts
    • Mentor and direct Cadet PA staff
  • Health Services Officer
    • Staff the Medical Room
    • Help keep cadets in good condition so they may complete the training.
    • Educate staff on preventative medicine such as foot care and heat safety
    • Log time cadets spend in Medical.
    • Interact with local medical providers to ensure appropriate treatment.
    • Monitor proper medication usage
  • Safety Officer
    • Monitor all activities for safety
    • Conduct ORM analysis and other assessments and plans as required by CAPR 62-1.
  • Chaplain
    • Provides counseling and emotional support to students and staff.
    • Conducts Character Development sessions as needed.
    • Conducts or coordinates religious services as needed.
